Amie is Strive’s passionate and hardworking exercise physiologist, apart of our Toowoomba team. Amie believes that exercise plays a transformative role in unlocking your full potential to living a healthy life, and greatly supports recovery and safely transitioning back to work.
Now, over to Amie…
Amie: Exercise is essential for functioning at our best, both physically and mentally. I am passionate about helping people understand the myriad of benefits of exercise across their lifespan. By promoting independence and improving quality of life, I aim to have a lasting impact on my clients. The positive changes I see in their independence and overall well-being are what truly motivate me.

What motivated you to practice in Occ Rehab?
Amie: Given how much time we spend at work, helping individuals thrive in their workplace and other aspects of their lives is incredibly fulfilling. In the Occupational Rehab space, I am driven by the opportunity to support people in returning to their daily activities and work, enhancing their overall quality of life.

What motivates you to move, personally?
Amie: Personally, I find motivation to move through various factors. Exercise is a fantastic way for me to connect with family and friends, whether it’s playing tennis, volleyball, or going on bike rides. I also enjoy learning new skills, with my latest adventure being wake skating. Regular movement helps me feel my best and stay strong and healthy as I age.
What motivates you every day to get your Client’s moving?
Amie: For me, it all comes down to enhancing quality of life. Everyone wants to feel good and function optimally throughout their lives. Exercise is a powerful tool that can be tailored to each individual to help them achieve this. Seeing my clients progress towards their goals at work, home, and in the community keeps me motivated to support them every day.
