When should we refer for a Functional Restoration Program?
A referral can be made for prehabilitation (prior to upcoming surgical interventions) which can help to put the client in the best possible position for recovery post-surgery.
Referrals can also be made post rehabilitation following injury, accident or incident of illness to assist with their recovery.
Referrals can be made to support individuals in successfully reintegrating into the workforce following a prolonged absence due to conditions such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis – ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, post-cancer treatment, and long COVID.
