Why is Strive’s Leadership Coaching different?
We understand that effective leadership to drive engagement, psychological safety and productive teams is all about people. Strive’s leadership coaching program is ground in research and neuroscience from some of the thought leaders from around the globe including the likes of the Neuroleadership Institute, Gallup, Brene Brown and Simon Sinek to name a few.
Strive’s leadership coaching approach is aligned with our own ethos of helping to deliver engaged people thriving at work. Strive’s role as a coach is not to tell you what needs to be done differently, but to teach you the tools, frameworks and ideas to formulate your own insights into what needs to be done differently in your organisation.

What is involved in Strive’s Leadership Coaching program?
Strive’s leadership coaching is typically completed over eight sessions, which can be delivered in person or virtually. The program focusses on the three areas of:
- Leading self
- Leading team
- Connecting to culture
During the coaching you will typically spend two or three sessions on each of the above areas. As the saying goes “you cannot lead others until you lead yourself first”, our program will usually begin with leading self, first. During this module you will focus in on your own leadership goals, values clarification, identifying your own Ground Rules for self-care and gaining clarity around your own working style.
From there we zoom out to look at leading team and review the working styles and dynamics amongst the team, as well as introducing a feedback framework to help with handling difficult conversations. The last element of leading team will focus on ways to build and foster psychological safety amongst the team.
Finally, we zoom out further to look at connecting to culture. Time will be spent honing in on clarifying our mission, purpose and the ‘why’ behind what we do. We look at ways we’re structuring our work to help connect the dots for people to help make this more tangible. We also will spend time untangling organisational values, how these translate into day to day behaviours and looking at feedback mechanisms to reinforce this.
Strive’s leadership coaching programs can also be customised and tailored to suit each leaders learning goals and growth areas. This can be discussed with your Strive coach prior to referral or during your first session.
