Strive’s New Graduate Program for 2025

You are here: Home / Careers / Strive’s New Graduate Program for 2025
October 3, 2024

We’re excited to announce that in the coming weeks we’ll be taking on applications for our new graduate program for 2025. We will have graduate positions available in Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Cairns for next year.

Over the last four years Strive has successfully taken on ten new and recent graduates (Occupational Therapists, Provisional Psychologists and a Rehabilitation Counsellor) via our new graduate program. All have gone on to achieve wonderful things and are key people within our organisation.

What are the roles available?

We have three Rehabilitation Consultant roles available in Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Cairns in 2025 for graduates. As industry leaders in complex case management, Strive’s approach has a strong focus on early intervention in our engagement with a number of clients including critical incident response, onsite support and team support services. The role of Rehabilitation Consultant will provide you the opportunity to join a variety of existing projects across Queensland, engaging with clients onsite in their workplace, with a focus on upskilling, training and debriefing.

Reporting into Strive’s Team Leader in each region, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Management of a case load that includes project opportunities, early intervention, critical incident response
  • Case management of clients with a broad range of physical and psychosocial needs
  • Case load will include a mix of providing support to assist clients to return to their same workplace and also assisting clients to find new employment options
  • Case load will include a mix of workers compensation, state government, DVA and worksite functional assessments
  • Case load will require regional travel throughout Queensland

What support will I get as a new grad?

As a new graduate at Strive you will be working with one of the most experienced leadership teams in the industry with a combined 100+ years experience. Your direct Team Leader will have significant industry experience, and our induction and onboarding program takes place over a three month period. Your first three to four weeks will be a mix of in-services, shadowing experienced Consultant’s, undertaking training and starting to complete your own Assessments with supervision. As you gain more confidence and familiarity with Strive, your Team Leader will work with you to start taking on referrals and clients independently. Your referrals and case load will gradually build over your first three months with the aim that by the end of your induction period you have close to a full case load and can manage mostly independently.

Throughout your induction period formal supervision from your Team Leader will be weekly, and you’ll also be paired with a ‘buddy’. You will have access to daily informal support, as well as Strive’s formal complex case reviews and customer specific case reviews.

Following your induction period, formal case reviews and supervision continue on a weekly or fortnightly basis in consultation with your Team Leader.

What are my professional development opportunities?

Strive offers a breadth of professional development opportunities for all staff both internally and externally. Internally, some of the PD opportunities you will be given include formal in-services on all of Strive’s services and assessments, formal training to become registered with our customers, in-services based on Strive’s four key pillars of Consulting, and the opportunity to participate in our Annual Development Plans (ADP). Strive budgets up to $1,000 per Consultant for professional development each year which you can consider as part of your ADP.

There is also access to a range of weekly and monthly PD initiatives including case reviews, Strive’s book club, industry events and webinars, as well as attending industry specific conferences.

How will I be able to progress my career?

There are many opportunities to progress and shape your career, including via pathways to Senior Consultant, Team Leader and onto a Principal Consultant. Strive has formal backfilling initiatives in place giving Consultants the opportunity to act in higher duties for periods of time.

Consultants have the opportunity to participate in marketing and business development initiatives including customer meetings, customer accounts management, promotion of the business at industry events and much more.

There is also the opportunity to shape your career in the direction of becoming a Project Manager, a Conflict Management Coach, Mediator or Leadership Coach. The opportunities are only limited by your determination and willingness to grow.

How do I get involved?

Please send through your resume to info@striveor.com with a one page cover letter outlining why you would like to join the Strive Team in 2025. Also, keep an eye out on our website and our LinkedIn page for further details in the coming weeks.
