The Role: Senior / Rehabilitation Consultant – Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Counsellor / Psychologist – Sunshine Coast
As industry leaders in complex case management, Strive’s approach has a strong focus on early intervention in our engagement with a number of clients including critical incident response, onsite mental health support programs and team support services.
We have a great opportunity to grow our customer base and open a regional office on the Sunshine Coast. This role will be based in on the Sunshine Coast and will involve a mix of onsite mental health support program delivery, some business development activities working towards a growth strategy, and other injury management service delivery. The growth strategy is to increase Strive’s customer base within the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Wide Bay region, and also provide the opportunity for additional staff to join the team in the future.
The role will commence as a Senior / Rehabilitation Consultant position; however in time and with successful growth, it may then develop into a Team Leader position. The role will require someone who is willing to put themselves out there and jump into some existing projects and also create opportunities to begin their own pilot programs and projects with customers.
We would be looking for someone to commit to this role for a minimum of a two or three-year period to provide time and opportunity to build ongoing, meaningful relationships with customers within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting into Strive’s Brisbane Team Leader, you will be tasked with the following:
- Management of a case load and an agreed upon billable commitment that will strike a balance between delivering key onsite mental health programs, consulting/case management activities, as well as achieving business development targets.
- There is opportunity to join existing projects within the Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions as well as collaborate on possibilities for future pilot programs.
- It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be involved to develop a growth strategy and region-specific business plan with the intention to increase Strive’s customer base within the region, and longer-term increase the FTE to transition into a Team Leader role.
- Business Development opportunities will include involvement in Strive’s marketing meetings, setting regular goals for customer meetings, engaging in regular stakeholder events within the region (conferences, safe work breakfast events etc.) as well as providing an excellent level of customer service and occupational rehabilitation service delivery.
- Case load will include a mix of early intervention onsite mental health programs, workers compensation, state government, DVA and income protection.
- Case load will include working with clients with a broad range of physical and psychosocial needs, ranging from early intervention support through to long-term injuries and health conditions.
- Case load will require regional travel to Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, throughout the Sunshine Coast region and Moreton Bay regions.
- There will also be ad hoc travel to assist other Strive offices and regions when required.
- It is anticipated that there will be in-person delivery of onsite mental health support programs in Bundaberg (monthly service), Hervey Bay (monthly service), Maryborough (monthly service) and Caboolture (fortnightly service) initially.

You will also be able to travel and stay in regional areas within the Wide Bay region as part of your role where required for service delivery. Strive will cover all associated travel costs and will provide you with mileage reimbursement on a fortnightly basis to assist with ease of travel. You will also be provided a laptop, iPhone and iPad.

Qualifications:
- Occupational Therapy qualification or relevant tertiary qualification
